Lockmaster Latch 3 Hooks 2 Anti Lift Pins 4 Rollers Double Spindle Multipoint Door Lock

From £65.96 inc VAT | In stock

Product Information

This Lockmaster Standard multipoint door lock features 4 Rollers, 2 Hooks1 Latch & 2 Anti Lift Bolts.

This Lockmaster features a hook in the central gearbox rather than a deadbolt as well as 2 further anti lift hooks and 4 rollers. Please note that this version is unsprung and should only be used with sprung handles. The associated handles below are all sprung.

The Lockmaster range of locks is vast, with a large number of different variants of the same lock, but with locking points in different positions. We stock the most popular versions which can be adapted to suit an existing requirement if the alteration is small, or we can source the exact product required.

Lockmaster locks are fairly easy to identify once they have been removed from the door, even if the logo isn't stamped on the faceplate. Upwards throwing locks (often accompanied by an anti lift pin) and one of the largest gearboxes, at 228mm are good giveaways.

Lockmaster door locks are the UK best selling multipoint door lock. Acquired in the early 2010's by Yale, they now form part of a range of locks which includes the Yale, Millenco, Millenco Mantis and Lockmaster brands. You may also find these locks have been rebranded by other companies, with Milamaster being commonly specified.

Please note that some older versions of Lockmaster locks may have locking point locations in slightly different places. That may require the routing prep on the door to be enlarged by 40-50mm to accommodate the revised locations and for the keeps to be repositioned.

Lockmaster gearboxes are available in 35mm or 45mm backsets with either a, double spindle or single spindle mechanism. Bifold door versions of the gearbox are available in 25mm and 28mm backsets.

Double spindle locks feature 62mm and 92mm centres and are unsprung, so we recommend the use of sprung door handles. They can be used as lift lever or double spindle nightlatch function. Single spindles are sprung and can only be used as a lift lever function.

Lockmaster gearboxes measure 228mm high by backset +15mm. The latch measures 30mm high, as does the deadbolt. There is 65mm between the bottom of the latch and the top of the deadbolt.

Gearboxes are fitted to faceplates with 3 screw holes. The top to middle screw hole measures 109mm and the middle to bottom also measures 109mm.

Earlier versions of these gearboxes also had a small spindle hole at the top of the case, near to the latch. This was used to hold the latch back.

45mm versions of the Lockmaster gearbox are the same as the 35mm version but feature an extended latch and deadbolt and a cover plate to convert the lock to 45mm backset.

Lockmaster locks can be found with normal hooks or hooks with an anti lift pin directly below them. Hooks always throw upwards and the hook cases measure 136mm high.

Rollers are used for compression, to pull the door against the frame, to help prevent dust or water ingress. They do little for security, but they also have the added benefit of helping to prevent the door from becoming warped as it is supported across its full height. This is dependent on the rollers being engaged into their keeps.

Rollers are normally adjustable by 1mm to help achieve optimum weather sealing.

Operation: Double Spindle
