Aubi Replacement Gearbox (Also suits Maco)

This is a genuine Maco, replacement gearbox for the GTS range of locks and also found fitted to Aubi locks. Although locks were made in both 28mm and 45mm backsets, only the 35mm version gearbox is still available. It features a lift lever and a single spindle configuration.

This gearbox is a suitable replacement for a range of Maco GTS multipoint door locks, but it’s important to be sure that you have the correct model. Maco have made several revisions to the design of their locks over the years and not all gearboxes are compatible. This model was made until approximately 2010 (although it may have been fitted to doors that were manufactured after that time). 

A good starting point to identify the gearbox is the latch reversal button, located next to the latch. On this model, that button is serrated, but there have been several variations. You may find that some gearboxes still have identification labels starting with "5ST" or "5STK" and a series of numbers. The numbers determined the configuration of the locking points but "5ST" or "5STK" can be a good clue. We'd always recommend double-checking your gearbox measurements against the line drawing to ensure that they match the gearbox that you wish to replace.
