How To Measure A Replacement Lock
The following are the key measurements to take when purchasing a new multipoint lock:
- Centres: From the centre of the keyhole to the centre of the spindle
- Backset: From the centre of the keyhole to the edge of the lock plate
- From the spindle to the locking points.
How To Replace A Multipoint Lock
- Remove the cylinder by removing the fixing key and turning the key about 10 degrees and then the cylinder should pull out.
- Remove the door handles.
- Unscrew the lock plate and remove the lock.
- Complete in reverse with the new lock.
