Fire Brigade locks and padlocks are used in communal areas such as dry risers, utility cupboards, car parks and bin stores where authorised personnel and emergency services can gain access using a standardised set of common keys retained by Emergency services personnel.

These Fire Brigade FB4 rim slam latch locks are UK Fire Brigade approved surface mounted slam latch locks, which are specified in areas where the Fire Brigade can gain access in an emergency situation without breaking in the door.

The latch is withdrawn with the key from the external side of the door and a turn knob from the inside.

Keys are not supplied but are available to order separately if required.

FB rim latch locks are handed with inward or outward opening options:, please use the following information to select the correct handing :

For a door hinged on the left when viewed from inside use a left hand FB rim lock.
For a door hinged on the right when viewed from inside use a right hand FB rim lock.

  • Supplied with escutcheons, screws & strike plate.
