From the Anvil Avon Slim Non-Locking Casement Stays

The simple avon design is both contemporary and traditional, fitting into all settings. This four sided design is created by hand with a series of hammer blows.

Designed to match the products in the Avon window fasteners collection.

Available in 11 different finishes (Aged Brass, Aged Bronze, Beeswax, Black, Pewter, Polished Brass, Polished Bronze, Polished Chrome, Polished Marine SS, Polished Nickel & Satin Marine SS) and in 3 sizes (8", 10" & 12").

Aged Brass

Aged Brass finish is intentionally tarnished using an accelerated ageing process that causes a dark patina to gather around the edges and recesses of the design. This rich colour offers a beautiful contrast against the repolished surface areas, offering an abundance of charm and character perfect for any period dwelling.

Aged Bronze

Aged Bronze products are manufactured from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. Due to the process used to age the metal, this finish is very dark and has a rich, matt appearance. During the final stages of manufacturing, a durable, matt lacquer is applied to this finish which helps preserve its distinctive tones.

Beeswax

Beeswax is a most authentic finish for steel. After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. All Beeswax ironmongery offers a subtle matt richness and is a more natural, and far softer, alternative to a black powder coated finish.

Black

A black finish is a popular choice in traditional settings. Its subtle sheen offers a bold contrast on stained and painted timber alike. During the manufacturing process, these products are baked in a high-temperature oven, giving them durable, corrosion-resistant qualities.

Pewter

Pewter Patina products are forged from a durable base of steel and boast a rich, luxurious appearance. The manufacturing technique create contrasting textures on the surface of the metal to create a rich appearance with an abundance of charm. This finish sits well in characterful, rustic homes, but also works as a contemporary alternative in more modern settings.

Polished Brass

Polished Brass products are made from solid, unlacquered brass and have soft, golden hues which offer a depth of reflection. To restore these products to their former glory, simply polish using a dry cloth and some Brasso.

These Polished Bronze products are made from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. This finish is aged and then subsequently re-polished to highlight the lighter surface areas against the darker, detailed parts. During the final stages of manufacturing, a robust lacquer is applied which helps preserve this bright contrast.

Polished Chrome

These Polished Chrome products are made from a base of solid brass coated with a durable chrome plating to give an exceedingly high-sheen finish. Favoured for its bright, bold appearance, Polished Chrome is well suited to contemporary designs and offers a smooth, mirror finish when polished. This works best if a cool, clean look is desired.

Polished Marine SS

This Polished Marine Stainless Steel is grade 316 and manufactured with high concentrations of chromium and nickel. These products offer great strength and have extremely resilient corrosion resistant properties which make them an excellent choice for coastal locations. This finish is very versatile, with a high sheen appearance that works well with warm tones and cool, contemporary settings alike.

Polished Nickel

These Polished Nickel products are manufactured from a solid brass base with a high-quality plating. This finish is bright, reflective, and extremely versatile.
