Product Information

This Maco A-TS multipoint door lock features 2 Hooks, and an automatic operation.

The A-TS Automatic Door Lock combines perfect locking technology with versatile opening variations. Once pulled closed, it automatically locks in three places, by two hooks and the dead bolt. The A-TS Automatic Door Lock is the only door lock of its kind that throws all its locking points including the dead bolt, simply by closing the door.

On closing the door, three latches are triggered and ensure immediately permanent and evenly high gasket compression. The door closes tightly over the entire door height, leaving draughts and moisture outside. The A-TS Automatic Door Lock's centre latch automatically triggers the locking mechanism as soon as the door enters the lock position when the door is closed. In conjunction with this a magnetic trigger monitors this to ensure it throws all latches perfectly every time all without a key.

Identifying a Maco A-TS multipoint door lock is relatively straightforward as the latch and hook configuration on the outer locking points are a strong indication. However, there are a number of variations of the A-TS lock. Our version is the standard lock but versions with day release and a built in limiter are also available. A-TS locks are also compatible with Maco motors for a fully motorised access control solution. Please speak with our technical team if you require any of these variants.

You may see the A-TS lock referred to as the Maco Z-TA automatic lock. The Z-TA was the forerunner to the A-TS and, provided your locking points match, the locks are interchangeable.

Maco Protect A-TS gearboxes closely resemble their C-TS equivalent. The shape is very similar except that the A-TS features a cut out in the top corner.

Measuring 202mm high, they are one of the smaller gearboxes on the market. They also feature a distinctive "soft" latch, which appears to be split in half. Its worth noting that Maco do offer different variants of these latches, so this latch is not conclusive when identifying this lock.

Both the latch and deadbolt on these locks measure 30mm high, with 55mm between them. They are held on to the faceplate with 3 screws. The top screw to the centre measures 102mm and the centre screw to the bottom screw, measures 110mm.

When measuring the backset, allow 2-3mm for the faceplate, so a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not fixed to the strip.

A-TS hooks are very distinctive, featuring a latch below the hook, which triggers the hooks to fire when the door closes. Hooks always move upwards when activated.

To lock:

Simply close the door. As the latches strike the keeps, they will trigger the top and bottom hooks as well as the deadbolt.

To open:

A single key turn from the outside, a turn of the key or thumbturn from the inside or by a door handle from the inside.
