Product Information

This Roto C600 multipoint door lock features 2 Hooks, 1 Deadbolt & 1 Latch.

The Roto C600 multipoint door lock is the key wind version of the H600 (now replaced by the H650), lever lever lock. Roto C600 and H600/650 locks share the same locking point positions, so it is often possible to swap one lock for another.

The C600 lock was introduced in 2016 and can de identified by examining both the gearbox and the operation of the lock. The C600 series is easily identified by its key wind operation.

C600 gearboxes measure 213mm x backset + 18mm. They feature a 30mm x 10mm latch, a 30mm high bolt and 57.5mm between the latch and deadbolt. Gearboxes feature a distinctive elongated piercing that measures between 136mm and 173mm from the centre of the euro cut out, to accept bolts for handles.

Roto C600 multipoint door lock gearboxes feature a "whisper latch" as standard fitment. This latch has a central plastic component to ensure that the door closes quietly. It's worth noting that Roto did supply these locks with other types of latch, which although rare, may not feature the plastic insert.

European markets feature locks with 25mm up to 80mm backsets, but locks with 35mm and 45mm are sold in the UK. When measuring the backset, allow 2-3mm for the faceplate, so a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not fixed to the strip.

Roto hooks are comprised of a hook that moves upwards only. Hook cases measure 130mm by 43mm and the hooks project 23mm into their keeps.

Operation: Key Wind

To lock the door

1. On closing the door, the latch is automatically engaged.

2. Turn the key to throw and engage or "wind" out the locking points.

To unlock the door

1. Turn the key to unlock the door by "unwinding" the locking points.

2. A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.

You may find this lock used as an UPVC door lock, an aluminium door lock, a timber multipoint door lock or a composite door lock .
