Product Information

This Safeware multipoint door lock features 3 Hooks, 2 Deadbolts & 1 Latch.

This Safeware lock features a gearbox with a hook which is a longer version of the Lockmaster centre case.

Safeware locks are fitted to a large range of Epwin Window Systems doors. The locks are based on the Lockmaster product but feature a design that is unique to Safeware.

Safeware locks are available in 3 different designs, featuring hooks, rollers and hook/deadbolt combination locking points.

Safeware gearboxes are visually very similar to the Lockmaster range of locks. They feature a central hook (a deadbolt version is not available) that throws downwards. These gearboxes are available in a double spindle operation only, with 92mm and 62mm centres (PZ) measurements.

Safeware gearboxes are the largest on the market. They measure 255mm high by 50mm wide. The latch measures 30mm high, as does the hook and there is 80mm between the bottom of the latch and the top of the hook.

As the gearboxes are so long, they fix to their faceplates with 4 screws. The top to next screw measures 55mm, the next screw is 80mm and the 3rd to last screw measures 108mm.

As previously mentioned, these locks are based on the Lockmaster range. The case is elongated but they are visually very similar. They also feature the additional spindle slightly above the latch, that can be used to hold back the latch, with appropriately specified handles.

Safeware hooks are bi-directional so that, when thrown, they move towards each other, offering enhanced security.

Operation: Double Spindle

To lock the door

1. On closing the door, the latch is automatically engaged.

2. Lift the handle up to engage the locking points.

3. Lock the system by turning the key.

To unlock the door

1. Unlock the system by turning the key.

2. Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points.

3. A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.

We stock a range of associated products for Safeware multipoint door locks, including keeps, spindles, handles and accessories.

Latch Reversal: Undo the screw or screws (depending on the model) in the latch to remove. Reverse, reinsert and replace screw(s).

You may find this lock used as an UPVC door lock, an aluminium door lock, a timber multipoint door lock or a composite door lock .
