Rim mounted sash and dead locks are often used on solid doors and gates to provide convenient security without the need to mortice out an aperture from the door material. Fixed directly to the surface, on the inside of the door, these locks are a popular option particularly in Victorian style domestic properties.

This Union 1465 Rim Sashlock can be locked and unlocked by key from either inside or outside and comes supplied with 2 keys. These locks are handed and should be ordered as follows;
When viewed from the inside, if the hinges are on the left side of the door order Left Hand. If the hinges are on the right side of the door order Right Hand.

With a case height of 74mm, backset of 51mm, and an overall width of 140mm, this low cost surface mounted sashlock is available in singles and supplied with a staple for the frame. Supplied in a durable black finish
