Thermal manipulation attacks use extreme temperatures to manipulate lock components. ALPS exhaust ports prevent this by allowing heat to escape, ensuring it doesn't stay inside long enough to cause damage or manipulation.

The Ultion 3 Star Plus is equipped with a feature called ALPS TwistTrap to counter twist attacks. When an intruder attempts to twist the lock, the rotator is instantly activated and fired into the TwistTrap mechanism. This action ensures the lock remains in the 'Always
